Full JILT Poker???

Full Tilt fees, negative rake, and rakeback.

Do I owe Full Tilt money?

This is a common question we receive at Rakeback Monitor concerning Full Tilt. Why?...because Full Tilt has more hidden fees than a Regional Bell Operating Company. This article will seek to uncover the method Full Tilt uses to caluclate rake and give some tips to avoid negative rakeback. And no, you do not owe Full Tilt any money.

Full Tilt is one of the more miserly poker rooms out there when it comes to rakeback. They only give 27% for starters, but Full Tilt will also deduct the following four things when calculating a net rake:

1. Transaction Fees
>
2. Earned Bonuses<

3. Items purchased in the Full Tilt store using Full Tilt Points (FTPs)

4. Any tournament fees when there is a guaranteed prize or player shortfall

Assuming you already have your requisite 27 Full Tilt hats, shirts, pocket protectors, etc., the most important item listed above is the first one, "Transaction Fees". In order to avoid these deductions from your monthly rake, avoid unnecessary deposits and withdrawals.

We do not know the amount of the deduction for depositing or withdrawing, but it is fair to assume that the fees are recouped 100% which means using Neteller, anywhere from 1.9% - 8.9% of the transaction amount will be subtracted from your earned rake to offset the bank charges. Some players do not feel secure with their funds sitting in their poker account overnight or when on a hiatus from playing, but there is no cause for alarm. Players' funds are extremely secure.

With the plethora of honest credible poker rooms out there, there is no reason to limit yourself to playing tourneys at Full Tilt. Tournaments are great, they are the parlay of the poker world. Risk a little with the potential to win a lot, but more than likely, just lose the investment. If you feel the need to play a lot of tournaments, we recommend using a different poker room to satisfy this need.

Just to recap, get your pieces of flare from Full Tilt ASAP, avoid guaranteed tournaments, and do not make any unnecessary deposits or withdrawals from your Full Tilt account. When you are playing a cash game, play tight...just remember, every time you bust out and have to reload your account, Full Tilt will slice your rake, and that slices right in to YOUR profits.
